FULL HD, LONG RANGE, DIGITAL IMAGE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

The HM30 system is a transmitter/receiver radio system. It transports (dual) IP video streams – with a Low Latency of 125ms – over the air. Used for Unmanned Vehicles. Combined with the MAVink Telemetry data and MAVlink Command and Control, makes it a perfect long range (up to 30Km VLOS) communication system.

Environment of the HM30

The system consists of an Air Unit (AU) and Ground Unit (GU) with various connection interfaces. The AU can connect up to two IP cameras with the Dual Camera module. If one of these cameras is mounted on a gimbal, the gimbal can be controlled by a PWM signal on the AU.

In case a camera has only a HDMI output, there is a converter available, HDMI->IP, to integrate it into the IP transmission stream. The cameras are reachable via standard RTSP IP-addresses on GU.

The IP Ethernet port can also be used to transmit any data between the Air and Ground Unit by connecting an IP device (like Raspberry or ESP32) to your local created Ethernet network.

The GU is the video and telemetry receiver of the system. The transmission capabilities of the GU can be used for Command and Control and has various interface connections like PPM/S.Bus/PWM, UART serial port, IP Ethernet and USB-C ports.

The AU must be powered by a 11-16,8V source (4S-14S) controlled with a power management unit.

The GU can be powered by its own battery or a 7-16,8V external source.
